The Land Trust was formed in 1971 at the urging of the Town’s Conservation Commission, local garden clubs, and conservation leaders, and became an independent non- profit corporation in July, 1976. Since then, a legacy of land has been built through the generosity and foresight of land donors and many others. Today, we actively protect and manage over 625 acres of land obtained by donation or through conservation easements.
