Poricelli’s Food Mart is the first supermarket in Greenwich to take the giant step forward - and stop offering plastic bags for groceries. They are joining an international trend to ban the plastic bags, and to encourage the use of re-usable bags. Please join this trend and carry your own cloth, canvas, string or re-usable plastic bags.
Plastic Bags end up in the trash after being used for an average of 7 minutes each. The manufacturing process includes the use of petrochecmicals, and adds to air pollution. So reducing our use of plastic bags has many benefits.
