With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, Goldenberry gift shop will host a unique tea party and shopping event to benefit Hearts of Hope – the Center for HOPE’s heart disease counseling and prevention program.The event will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 9 at Goldenberry, 110 Post Road in
Darien.  Those in attendance will have the opportunity to sample a variety of teas, scones and goodies.  Ten percent of purchases made that day will help Hearts of Hope provide counseling and support services to those recovering from or receiving treatment for heart disease.   

Goldenberry will also hold a raffle, with all proceeds benefiting the Center for HOPE.  With many raffle prizes offered, the chance of winning something wonderful is very likely.  Prizes include a Spode limited-edition tea pot valued at $400, a custom poncho, a sachet pillow, and Villeroy & Boch gift certificates.  Raffle tickets are $6 or six for $30.   

The event is open to the public, but space is limited.  Tickets are $20, which includes admission and one raffle ticket.  For supporting the Center for HOPE and Hearts of Hope, each guest will receive a Villeroy & Boch teacup and ”healthful” chocolate gift courtesy of Commerce Bank and Goldenberry.   Tickets can be purchased at Goldenberry, 110 Post Road in Darien, or by calling 203-662-9274.   

Goldenberry has been based in Darien for eight years, offering home furnishings, gifts, gourmet goodies, new baby gifts and tabletop accessories in a warm, inviting atmosphere.
