ARC wraps up a busy holiday season and prepares for the next big sale!

The 2006 ARC Greenhouse and Community Workforce Holiday Sales offered a variety of items to spread holiday cheer.  Our wreaths, poinsettias, amaryllis, and cyclamen were popular favorites in the Greenhouse, while Community Workforce sold soaps, lollipops, and gift baskets in abundance.  Custom orders were available upon request.  A big thanks to all who made our sale a success! 

Our next major sale, Valentine’s Day, is right around the corner!  In addition to Greenhouse roses, specialty items such as handmade chocolate rose lollipops, heart and flower soaps, and handmade organic dog biscuits will be for sale, as well as Valentine cards.             

We strongly encourage you to place your orders early to ensure the best selection.            Valentine’s Day Roses may be ordered by calling (203) 531-1880 ext. 139 or by e-mailing kgreen@arcgreenwich.org.

Roses and plants can also be purchased at The Greenhouse, located at ARC at 50 Glenville Street in Greenwich.

All items are additionally for sale year-round for birthdays, anniversaries, office parties, and your special event! 

Greenhouse hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

About the Greenhouse: The Greenhouse was opened in 1977 and has since been a resource for a wide range of assorted plants, flowers and vegetables, and gift items.  Expanded in 1992, most products are grown by participants in ARC’s Horticultural Program, which provides the opportunity to work in greenhouse and garden settings under the direction of a trained staff member. 

About Community Workforce: Specialty gift items are created by ARC’s Community Workforce program, which offers occupational skill training, career development, and employment opportunities for adults who have mental retardation, autism or related disorders.

SAVE THE DATE FOR LIFE’S A BEACH!

On Friday, April 27, 2007 ARC will be holding a benefit at the Hyatt Regency in Old Greenwich, CT.  Themed “Life’s a Beach,” the evening will welcome the warmer months and include tropical cocktails, dinner, and dancing to a steel drum band.  A live auction will provide unique opportunities for dinner parties and island getaways.  Co-chairing the event are Alice Stuart, Debby Levy, and Bob Altamore.  Watch for more announcements, as it gets closer to the night of the benefit.  For more information, please contact Carolyn Russell at (203) 531-1880 ext 123 or e-mail russell@arcgreenwich.org.
